Rebekah
Isaac's wife and mother of Jacob and Esau — chosen by God's providence at a well in Mesopotamia and brought into the covenant family.
Abraham's servant prayed for a sign, and Rebekah's kindness at the well marked her as God's choice for Isaac. She left her family in faith to join a husband she had never met, becoming part of the line that would lead to Christ.
Her later years showed both wisdom and favoritism: she championed Jacob, the son God had chosen, but through deception. Genesis honors her faith while showing how God works through, not around, flawed human choices.
