Robert Young, compiler of Young’s Analytical Concordance, translated the Bible with extreme literalness — even preserving the Hebrew verb tenses that other versions smooth over.
The result reads awkwardly but reveals the original structure like an X-ray; scholars and careful students still consult it for exactly that reason.
