Jeremiah writes after Jerusalem’s destruction, surrounded by grief. Yet he finds a floor beneath the sorrow: the LORD’s faithful love has not run out.
The next verse adds that his mercies are ‘new every morning.’ However dark the night, each day brings fresh evidence of God’s compassion.
