πορεύομαι
poreúomai · word · “to go, journey”
Poreuomai means to go, journey, travel. Jesus' command "Go (poreuthentes) and make disciples of all nations" sends the church out into the world.
Poreuomai is the everyday verb for setting out and traveling. The disciples go from village to village; Paul journeys to the nations.
The Great Commission turns on this word — the church is a going church, not a settled one. To follow Christ is, in some real sense, to be on the road.
Definition: to traverse, i.e. travel (literally or figuratively; especially to remove (figuratively, die), live, etc.);
KJV usage: --depart, go (away, forth, one's way, up), (make a, take a) journey, walk
