Trinity
The Christian teaching that there is one God who exists eternally as three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — fully equal, fully God, one in essence.
The word «Trinity» isn't in the Bible, but the reality it names is everywhere: one God (Deut 6:4) who is Father (Matt 6:9), Son (John 1:1), and Holy Spirit (John 14:26), all worshiped, all active in salvation.
The historic church confessed this mystery in the Nicene Creed: one God in three persons, distinct but not divided. We cannot fully grasp it, but we worship and pray to this God revealed in the gospel.
