Redemption
Being bought back and set free—God redeeming his people from slavery to sin through the blood of Christ.
To redeem is to buy back, as a slave was freed by a price. Scripture pictures God redeeming Israel from Egypt and believers from sin.
The price of our redemption was the precious blood of Jesus, securing forgiveness and freedom.
