Nehemiah
A cupbearer in the Persian court who returned to Jerusalem and led the rebuilding of its walls — a model of bold prayer, careful planning, and trust in God.
When Nehemiah heard that Jerusalem's walls were broken, he wept, fasted, and prayed. King Artaxerxes sent him to rebuild them. In fifty-two days, despite ridicule and threats, the work was done.
