Nathan (prophet)
The prophet during David's reign who delivered both God's promise of an everlasting throne and his confrontation of David over Bathsheba.
Nathan brought David the Davidic covenant (2 Samuel 7) — a throne that would never end — looking forward to Christ.
When David sinned with Bathsheba and arranged Uriah's death, Nathan confronted him with the parable of the lamb: "You are the man."
David's repentance, recorded in Psalm 51, came in response.
