Mount of Olives
The hill east of Jerusalem where Jesus often taught and prayed, and from which he ascended to heaven.
Overlooking the temple, the Mount of Olives was a place Jesus frequented. He wept over Jerusalem there and gave teaching about the future.
At its foot lay Gethsemane, and from this mount Jesus ascended after his resurrection, with the promise that he would return.
