Galilee
The northern region where Jesus did much of his teaching and miracles, centered on the Sea of Galilee.
Galilee was a rural area of fishing villages and farms. Jesus called his first disciples by its lake and performed many miracles there, including calming the storm.
Much of Jesus’ public ministry unfolded in Galilee before he set out for Jerusalem, and the risen Jesus met his disciples there.
