Ezekiel
A priest-prophet exiled to Babylon — known for striking visions of God's glory, dry bones coming to life, and a future temple where God dwells with his people.
Carried into exile in 597 BC, Ezekiel ministered to fellow exiles in Babylon. His visions are some of the Bible's most vivid: God's chariot-throne, the valley of dry bones, a new temple from which a river of life flows.
His message holds judgment and hope together. God will discipline his people, but he will also give them a new heart and put his Spirit within them (Ezekiel 36:26–27) — a promise the New Testament sees fulfilled in Christ.
