Cana of Galilee
The small Galilean village where Jesus performed his first sign — turning water into wine at a wedding — quietly revealing his glory to his disciples.
On the third day after Jesus called his first disciples, a wedding ran out of wine in Cana. At his mother's word, Jesus had servants fill six stone jars with water; he turned it into the choicest wine.
John says this was «the first of his signs» and «manifested his glory.» Cana was also where Jesus healed an official's son from a distance — small place, large beginnings.
